Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about paediatric care

The frequency of well-child visits varies by age. For infants, we recommend check-ups at 1, 2, 4, 6, 9, and 12 months. For toddlers, visits are typically scheduled at 15, 18, 24, and 30 months. Preschoolers should have annual check-ups at 3, 4, and 5 years. School-age children and adolescents generally need annual check-ups. However, this schedule may be adjusted based on your child's individual health needs.

We follow the recommended immunization schedule which includes vaccines for diseases such as diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (DTaP), polio, measles, mumps, rubella (MMR), chickenpox, hepatitis A and B, pneumococcal disease, Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib), rotavirus, and influenza. During your child's visits, our pediatricians will discuss the recommended vaccines for their age and answer any questions you may have about immunizations.

For infants under 3 months, contact us for any fever (rectal temperature of 100.4°F/38°C or higher). For children 3-36 months, call if the fever is above 102°F/38.9°C and lasts more than a day. For older children, seek medical attention if the fever is above 103°F/39.4°C, lasts more than 3 days, or is accompanied by other concerning symptoms such as lethargy, severe headache, stiff neck, difficulty breathing, or persistent vomiting. Always trust your instincts – if you're worried about your child's condition, don't hesitate to contact us.

Children develop at different rates, and there's a wide range of what's considered "normal." During well-child visits, our pediatricians assess your child's physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development using standardized screening tools. We'll discuss your child's progress and any concerns you might have. If you notice your child is not meeting milestones or you have specific concerns about their development between visits, please contact us. Early identification of developmental delays allows for timely intervention and support.

For children with chronic conditions like asthma, we develop personalized management plans that include regular monitoring, medication management, and education about triggers and symptoms. We recommend more frequent check-ups to assess how well the condition is being controlled and to adjust the treatment plan as needed. We also provide resources and support to help you and your child manage the condition effectively at home and school. Our goal is to minimize the impact of chronic conditions on your child's daily life and activities.
